A memorial service will be held on Friday December 15, 2017 at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home at 2:00pm  for Christine "Christy" Spohn who passed away on December 8, 2017.
She was born  in Youngstown, OH, daughter of  Allan Spohn and Diane (Yurkovich) Spohn . She was a 1996 graduate of Boardman High School  and received her Bachelor's in Psychology at  Mt. Vernon Nazarene  College.  
Surviving are her parents Allan and Diane, her brother Michael Cramer of Youngstown, her sister, Julia Spohn of Boardman, a son, Cameron Spohn and a daughter Marina Spohn, both of Lake City, PA.  She also leaves one niece Ava Hovanec, and 2 nephews Trent Price and Ethan Hovanec, all of Boardman.
Our Christy ​is​​ finally at peace. ​She​ lived her life to the beat of a different drummer than the rest of us, and found pleasure in the simple things. ​She loved writing, and having long ​heartfelt conversations​ with her children​, and best friend Patti​ ("heart-sister").  ​She loved small adventures, playing board games, and doing arts and crafts. Christy​ never required more then what was absolutely needed, and would selflessly give at her own expense.  She was always grateful for the smallest of things, relishing every blessing​​​. She loved unconditionally and saw only the best of every person that entered her life.​  She had the most beautiful, gentle heart. The joy of her life, and reason for living were her children. Their relationship was a bond that was stronger then the challenges she had to endure, and ​she was their world.  She loved Jesus with her whole heart, and her children found God through her​.​
Friends will be received on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., Youngstown, Ohio.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family .
