Terence David Taylor

CANFIELD TERENCE DAVID TAYLOR Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, and at 10:00 at St. Christine Catholic Church, for Terence David Taylor, 75, who entered into rest Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Select Specialty Hospital. Terence was born September 16, 1935 in Port Talbot Wales, Great Britain, the son of Kathleen Lewis Taylor, and David Timothy Charles Taylor. He came to Youngstown as a teenager, and graduated from Boardman High School. Terry then attended Youngstown State University, and graduated from the Wisconsin School of Banking. Terry spent 33 years with Mahoning National Bank in which he worked his way up to the position of CEO and Chairman of the Board before he was forced to retire for health reasons. Terry was a past member of the Builders Association, Youngstown Chamber of Commerce, Mahoning Valley Management Association, American Institute of Banking, Youngstown Country Club and the Youngstown Club. He served as Past President of Assumption Nursing Home, Southside Merchants Civic Organization, Youngstown Area Bank Administration Institute, and served as a former trustee of the Boys Club of America and Director of the American Cancer Society. Terry served on the Boards of Economy Electric, Michigan Hanger Co. and was a life long member of St. Christine's Church, where he coached 5th and 6th grade football through the 70's. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his wife of 48 years, Margaret, brother Thomas David, sister Colleen, sons; Terence (Gia) and their children, Kedron, Bryn, Lane and Terence Joseph, David (Megan), and children, Brooke, David and Margaux, Kevin (Lisa) and children, Alyssa, Kevin-Terence, Jessica, and Kayla, and daughter Lisa Bucciarelli (Larry) and children, Laurence, Frank-David and Isabella. Terry was a friend to many, a loyal husband, a good father and a great Grandfather. His character and integrity will be missed by all. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home.
