Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11:00am at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. for Theresa Varsho, 85, who passed away on November 5, 2016. Theresa was born August 9, 1931 in Youngstown, OH, daughter of James E. Stine and Margaret Mihms. She was a 1949 graduate of East Palestine High School and was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. She worked for J.C. Penney Co. in Ladies Clothing and Jewelry at the Southern Park Mall.
Surviving are her husband, Peter Varsho, whom she married July 12,1952, a son, Dr. Michael Varsho of Los Angeles, California, three daughters, Elizabeth Elkus of New Hampshire, Ann Ewing of Dayton, Ohio and Kathy Merritt of Las Vegas, Nevada, a sister, Jeanette Wilson of East Palestine and three grandchildren, Caity Merritt, Anna Merritt and Christopher Merritt.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harold J. Smith and Bernard Smith, and one sister, Beatrice Parker.
Friends will be received Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 4-6pm at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., Youngstown, Ohio.
