Francesca (Frances) Mosconi

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at St. Christine's Church at 10:00 am  for Francesca (Frances)  Mosconi, 84, who passed away peacefully on July 14, 2018 from Parkinson's Disease. Francesca was born September 21, l933 in Villa St. Angelo, Italy, a daughter of John DeMatties and Pasqualina Nardis and came to the U.S. in 1957. She was a loving mother and friend to all.  Francesca  was an excellent bridal seamstress, a fine Italian cook and an avid gardener and reader. She was  preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Nemmo R. Mosconi, whom she married in Italy on August 26, 1956 and a brother Pasquale DeMatties. She is survived by her son, John (Emily) Mosconi of Akron and her daughter,  Lia (Kevin) Ameduri of Boardman.  She will be greatly missed by all of her extended family, including her "other son" Fritz Seefeldt, his wife Joanne and family, 11 step-grandchildren and great grandchildren, her cousins and her many friends.  
Friends will be received  at the at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., Youngstown, Ohio on Wednesday, July 18 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and again Thursday, July 19 at 9:30 am.
