Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21st at 11:00am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Youngstown for George Kyprianou, 85, who passed away on Monday, April 17th.
He was born April 21, 1931 in Aglanja, Nicosia Cyprus, son of Kyprianou Christou and Athena Christalfi, and came to the United States in 1952.
George was a steelworker for 32 years at Republic Steel before retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, the Farm Bureau, Senior Citizens at St. John's Greek Orthodox church and was a sheep farmer for 37 years.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Snyder) Kyprianou, whom he married January 12, 1964, a son, Andrew (Brian Rodabaugh) Kyprianou of Akron, a daughter, Athena (Donald) Nadzan of Las Vegas, two brothers, Kyriakou Kyprianou and Archille Kyprianou, two sisters, Helen Timberlake and Christalla Yiannaki. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and six sisters.
Friends will be received Thursday, April 20th from 4pm to 8pm at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., Youngstown, Ohio and Friday, April 21st at 10:00am at St. Nichols Greek Orthodox church.
