James W Lightbody

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home in Youngstown, Ohio  for James W. Lightbody, 68, who passed away on October 1, 2018.
James was born December 21, 1949 in Youngstown, a son of William J. and Catherine Mae Radanovic Lightbody.
He was a graduate of South High School and he served for 6 years in the Navy during the Vietnam War as a Flight Deck Aviation Electrician . He worked as a road shop manager for Circuit City and was a member of ARGUS Lodge 545 F & AM for 45 years,  the American Legion Post #30l and the Flight Deck Veterans Group.
James is survived by the love of his life and companion, Cynthia J. Lightbody; a son, James (Heather) Lightbody, Jr. of Salem, Oregon; a daughter, Molly (Matt) Borecki of Girard; a grandchild, Connor Borecki; two sisters, Janet Nagel of Boardman and Nancy Augustine of Youngstown, several nieces and nephews whom he loved so much, and his dog Izzy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Alexa Lightbody and a sister, Martha.
Friends will be received on Saturday, October 6 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Funeral Home.
