Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at 11:00 am at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. for John Jay Sabanick, 63, who passed away on Saturday, August 5th.
John was born February 2, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio, son of John Sabanick and Ruth Creighton Sabanick.
He was a graduate of Boardman High School and belonged to Western Reserve United Methodist Church in Canfield. He owned Austintown Ice Cream before retiring in 2011. He enjoyed fishing, camping, drag racing and working on cars. He also enjoyed his cats, Delonte, Blackie, White Paws, Diane and Callie.
Surviving are his wife, Wife Hope L. (McHattie) Sabanick whom he married July 21, 1979.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Robert.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 9th from 10am to 11am at the at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., Youngstown, Ohio.
