Laura Earnest-Cope, 59, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 16th, 2018. Laura was born on June 12th, 1959 in Youngstown, the daughter of James R. and Elaine Weston.

Laura was a 1977 graduate of Chaney High School and Choffin Career Center. She enjoyed the traditions of her Hungarian family and had enjoyed dancing in the local Hungarian dance group. She had worked in the service field her whole life as a health aide, an EMT, a reserve/auxiliary officer, and most notably; a Licensed Practical Nurse.  She became an LPN  after her initial Cancer diagnosis 22 yrs ago.  14 of the most recent years, she had been employed at Caprice Health Care Center.

Laura was blessed with her family, friendships, and faith. She had 2 daughters with her first husband of 12 years, Terrance Earnest.  Laura then made a life with Anthony Cope, her beloved cowboy husband for the past 17 years.  She was enthusiastic about any activities her daughters pursued, which had led to camping, boating, and horse shows.  Laura also enjoyed the sports and numerous activities that her grandchildren showed interest in, especially their county fair and animals.

In any spare time, Laura gave back to the community.  She was a volunteer and advisor for The Judge's Choice 4-H club with her husband, and participated in any cause, awareness, or benefit anyone would suggest. Laura was also active with The Canfield Republican Women's Club and attended St. Stephen of Hungary Church.

Fond memories of Laura will live on with her beloved husband; Anthony Cope, her sister; Lisa Anderson, daughters Alana (Edward) Booth, and Elisha Earnest (Shane Solvesky), and grandchildren; Baylee Booth and Colton Booth.  Besides her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her much loved brother James S. Weston. Laura's humor, advice, and perspective will not be forgotten, but she was called to ride her favorite old horse on a different trail with God.

Friends may call Friday, July 13th from 4pm 6pm, at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, 3100 Canfield Rd in Youngstown. A funeral service will follow at 6pm.
