Margaret (Marge) Hudak of Youngstown passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 peacefully in her sleep.
She was born to Joseph Koly and Mary Haladaj Koly on June 22, 1925 in Campbell, Ohio. Marge graduated from Campbell Memorial High School and attended Youngstown College. Marge retired from the Youngstown City School System where she worked in the Central Kitchen helping prepare meals for thousands of students everyday.
Marge was married to Joseph Hudak in 1952. Marge is survived by her husband of 66 years: Joseph; two children: Martha of Los Angeles and Christine (David) Puhalla of Youngstown; grandchildren, Airic, Eythan, and Kaelyn; and her sisters: Alice, Jane, and Sonja. Her brothers John and Joe, and sisters Martha, Mary, and Helen (Brownie) predecease her.
Marge loved to bake and to sing with her sisters. She is undoubtedly now once again harmonizing with her sisters Martha, Mary, and Brownie and making kolachi and clothespin cookies like they used to whenever they were together.
Viewing ceremony will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home located at 3100 Canfield Road in the Cornersburg area of Youngstown. Funeral services will take place at St. Christine’s Catholic Church in Youngstown on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10:00am with a viewing at St. Christine’s beginning at 9:15am.
