Mary Audrey Mahon

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:00am  at St. Christine's Church for Mary Audrey (Sullivan) Mahon.
Mary Audrey passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 25, 1931 in Youngstown, Ohio to John and Hannah (Newell) Sullivan. She was a 1950 graduate of Ursuline High School. She worked at Reichert Furniture prior to becoming a homemaker. She married her childhood sweetheart John on April 7, 1951. They shared 64 years together. He proceeded her in death, August 20, 2015. She is survived by her five children; John (Georgie) Mahon of Boardman, Patrick Mahon of Austintown, Madonna (Joe) LoCicero of Canfield, Kathleen Mahon of Austintown and Christine (Joe) DeLuca of Canfield, with whom she  made her home. She also leaves 9 grandchildren; Justin (Lida) Mahon, Mark (Cassie) Mahon, Kristi Mahon, Sara (Roy) McCollum, Michael (Breanna) Mahon, Amanda and Patrick Mahon, and Christina and Alyssa Casity, and eleven great-grandchildren and a sister Catherine Willison. Besides her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by a son James Mahon; brothers, Jack, Paul and James Sulivan; sisters, Virginia Carney, Rita Higgins and Florence Dalbey. She enjoyed spending time every Sunday with her family, the greatest joy of her life, and her dog Sophie who was a great companion. The family would like to extend great appreciation to all the nursing staff who cared for her at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman Campus.  Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday May 17, 2018 and again on Friday May 18, 2018 from 9:00 to 9:30 am at Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc.
