Milan Grahovac

Milan Grahovac, son of Natalija and Lale Grahovac, was born January 1, 1932. Milan was very active in his beloved church, Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Austintown, Ohio. He was instrumental in the building of the church at its current location. He was a very powerful spirit and believed in preserving and cultivating Serbian history and tradition. Milan was a faithful, devoted benefactor to his church. His deep love for his Orthodox faith and its dramatic history was obvious through his involvement in his church where he served as church president for over 30 years. He also served as its Bingo chairperson for close to 50 years.
He was very active in various boards in the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of America including New Gracanica Monastery in Illinois.
In 1983, Milan became a Knight of Malta which requires service to one's faith and tradition. His charity and faith were his essential characteristics.
Milan was employed by Anchor Cigar Company as a general manager for over 40 years.
He leaves his sister Sonja Tusek, at home and his adopted brother, Rev. Radoslav (Barbara) Filipovich, His brother George passed away March 6, 2018. He also leaves his beloved nieces Vesna Vukasinovich and Sonja (John) Kegley and nephews Atty. Tim (Cathy) Tusek, John (Roseann) Grahovac and George Grahovac Jr.
He also leaves his godchildren: Nicole, Victoria, and Richard Sherb, Milica Savic, Bill and Alisa Marshall, Ralph and Nick Fajak, Mason, Olivia, Michael, and Mathew Paljich
Friends may call Thursday, December 27th from 10:00 to 10:30am at the Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 420. N. Raccoon Road, Austintown, Ohio. A Funeral will follow at 10:30 am.
