Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 6th at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church at 11:00am for Paul Nestor Raptou, 81, who passed away December 2, 2017.
Paul was born June 22, 1936 in Servia, Greece, son of Nestor and Eleftheria (Economidis) Raptou. He came to the United States from Greece as a child and formerly resided in Boardman.
Paul was a 1955 graduate of South High School. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy, in 1961,  where he was a member of Kappa Psi professional fraternity and Sigma Delta Beta. Paul was the owner and proprietor of Newport Pharmacy for many years. He additionally worked as a Pharmacist at Lake Milton Pharmacy. He was a member of St. John's Greek Orthodox Church. Paul was a devoted uncle to his niece and nephew. His pride and joy were his great nieces and nephews.
Paul is survived by his sister, Katherine (Dr. Panos) Zafirides of Howland; niece, Rea (Dr. Jon) Eucker of Howland; nephew, Dr. Peter (Sophia) Zafirides of Columbus, Ohio; great nieces and nephews, Alexys, Elly, Catherine, Panos and George.
Friends will be received Wednesday, December 6 from 10am to 11am at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, with the funeral following immediately thereafter.
