Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20th at 10:00am at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. for Ronald Lee Ankney, 74, who passed away on Saturday, July 15th
Ron was born July 18, 1942 in Latrobe, PA, son of Curtis Gregg Ankney and Mary Jane Ankney.
Ron worked in heating and air conditioning at St. Elizabeth hospital in Youngstown before retiring in 2004. He served 4 yeas in the Air Force, loved golfing and could tell you anything about the game. He loved going out west and cruising to the Caribbean.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara (Senffner) Ankney whom he married June 4, 1987, one son, David Lee Ankney (Joan McCracken) of Girard, and a sister Tammy Peterman (Robert) of Stoystown, PA. Ron also leaves Casey and Molly; his four-legged girls whom he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received Wednesday, July 19th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., in Youngstown, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice House or Angels for Animals.
