Alexander Lazarevich
1929-2025
Alexander “Alex” Lazarevich passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025 at Hampton Woods Nursing Home.
Alex was born February 28, 1929 in Warren, Ohio to Nicholas and Mary (Marenchic) Lazarevich.
Alex was in the Army from September 24, 1946 to March 23, 1948. He then married Mildred “Mitzi” Yurjevich on October 7, 1956.
He worked for East Ohio Gas Company for 33 years and 6 months retiring in 1991.
Alex was a member of Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church. He was a very devout Orthodox attending church every week up until a few months ago.
He was on the planning and building committee of the new church and enjoyed BINGO there.
He leaves to cherish his memory his niece and caretaker Sandra (Joseph) Fuline, nephew Steven Vorkapich and several other nephews. Alex also leaves behind several great nieces and nephews.
Alex was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Mitzi on April 23, 2020 and a sister Anna Vorkapich who passed on January 17, 2023.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, August 18th, 2025 from 10-11am at Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church on Raccoon Road followed by an 11:00am Mass.
The family would like to thank his neighbors Ray and Eileen Zornjak for all that they did for Alex during his time of need.
