Eugene (Geno) Joseph DeMarco, Jr. 1951- 2024
Passed away Peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Assumption Village.
He was a 1969 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and upon graduation, served his Country in the United States marine Corps. He served in Vietnam, and was a proud Veteran.
After his Military service, attended YSU, and was employed by and retired from the United States Postal Service, after 32 years. He was also Secretary of the Letter Carriers Union and helped run their annual food drive and contributed to various charities for the Post Office. He represented letter carriers in the union at different proceedings, and loved talking about how he helped other union employees.
He was a loving and caring Husband, Father, Brother, Son and Papa to his granddaughter, Lily, who he adored.
He also loved being with his family
He always put others first. He enjoyed helping others and was always there for others.
He loved sports, especially Football. He loved playing Bocce
He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Kelly Dickson (Mike), Amy DeMarco, Tracy DeMarco. His Granddaughter, Lily DeMarco.
His sister, Melissa DeMarco-Seidle, (Ron). His mother, Dorothy DeMarco.
Previously deceased were his father, Eugene DeMarco and his wife, Charmain DeMarco
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 9:00am-10:30am at Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, 3100 Canfield Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44511 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Christine Church at 11:00am.
