Marjorie A. Viggiano
1942-2025
Marjorie “Margie” A. Viggiano passed away Saturday, June 28th, 2025 at Hospice of the Valley following a short battle with colon cancer.
Born August 12, 1942, in Youngstown, to the late Mitchell and Veronica Simerlink. Margie graduated in 1960 from South High School.
She married the late Joseph Viggiano in 1963 and enjoyed 58 years of marriage until his death in 2021.
Margie dedicated those years to being a homemaker. She made sure the needs of her family were met and the home ran smoothly.
Margie had many friends. She looked forward to Thursday nights at the roller-skating rink where she went with her daughter. She would sit and watch and make new friends weekly.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband Joseph.
Margie leaves behind her daughter Michele (Joel) Cohn, her grandson Michael (Leah Gregory), who was the light of her life, her sister MaryJane Pignanelli and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 4-6pm on Wednesday, July 2nd at Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, 3100 Canfield Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44511. A memorial service will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Animal Charity of Youngstown.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and Mercy Health of Boardman.
