1942-2025
Marlene Rose Hulton-Poluse (Virag), 82, of Youngstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with a terminal illness.
Marlene was born April 15, 1942, in Youngstown Ohio to Steven A Virag and Elizabeth (Betty) Virag (Kovach). Marlene graduated from Chaney High School in 1960. She worked at a couple jobs that she loved; Assistant Produce Manager for a grocery store on the westside of Youngstown and Manager of Austintown Jewelry & Pawn for numerous years until she retired. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her kindness, generosity and love of travelling.
She is survived by her children, Melissa Lynn Hassett of Youngstown and Brian George Hulton of Jacksonville, FL, as well as her grandsons Steven Bresnahan, Matthew Bresnahan, Cameron Hassett all of Youngstown and Jason Hasset of Maryland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Elaine, her first husband Oliver George Hulton in 1992 and her second husband Vincent Poluse in 2018.
A private service was held with immediate family members and a celebration of life will take place in the springtime.
The family would like to thank the staff at Windsor House at Obrien Memorial in Masury and Hospice for their compassionate care during Marlene’s illness.
