A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on October 27, 2018 at Holy Apostles- Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Catholic Church, 421 Covington St. Youngstown at 11 a.m. for Mrs. Mildred M. Simunic, 93, who peacefully passed away October 22, 2018.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m, at the Church.
Mildred was born on February 16, 1925, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Paul and Magdalene (Laten) Bogovich.
Mildred was a parishioner of Holy Apostles-Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian CatholicChurch. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and ceramics. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother and especially a great-grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Kathlyn (John) Zuppo of Canfield; two grandsons, John (Meredith) Zuppo and Steve (Teri) Zuppo; five great-grandchildren, John IV, Alexandria, Stephen Jr., Brielle and Elizabeth; and sister, Frances (Steve) Goryanec.
Mildred and Steve were married on Thanksgiving Day 1948 until his passing on October 4, 2012.
She was preceded in death by grandson, James; and sisters, Theresa Lobaugh, Anna Pozega, Helen Urs, and Polly Gaydosh.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, in memory of Mildred Simunic.
