Stanojka Tanaskovic

Stanojka “Stella” Tanaskovic, 71, of Youngstown, passed away on July 19, 2024.  Stanojka was born on October 26, 1952 in the village of Simiciste near the town of Leposavic, Serbia in the Provence of Kosovo, the daughter of Vladimir Petrovic and Zivka (Bazic) Petrovic.

Stanojka worked for Steel City, Indalex Aluminum, and Star Extruded Shapes before retiring in 2016. She was a member of Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church. Her passion was spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Stanojka is survived by her two sisters, Miljojka Radojicic of Serbia and Radojka Vucetic of Serbia; two sons, Radoslav Tanaskovic of Youngstown, Ohio and Dragan (Sha) Tanaskovic of Newnan, Georgia; two daughters, Vesna (Stephen) Bevan of Boardman, Ohio and Milica Tanaskovic of Youngstown, Ohio; five grandchildren, Sofija and Ava Tanaskovic, Mya and Tatiana Bevan, Joshua Tanaskovic. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Radenko Tanaskovic, son Miroslav Tanaskovic, and brother, Petar Petrovic.  She will be missed by her family, friends, and Kumovi.

Services will be on July 24, 2024 at Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 420 N Raccoon Rd, Austintown, Ohio. There will be a viewing at 10:00am for friends and family following Mass at 11:00am with Father Vedran Grabic presiding. Burial will follow at Belmont Park Cemetery.
