Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Youngstown, Ohio for Steve J Komsa, 89, who passed on Friday, September 7, 2018. Steve was born May 18, 1929, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Casmier Komsa and Margaret Duran Komsa. He was a graduate of Wilson High School and a member of St. Stanislaus Church. He was an Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War, where he was in the Infantry stationed in Germany. Steve worked as a crane operator for Republic Steel. He was also a member of the Polish National Alliance, enjoyed golf, was a Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed going to Waterford Race Track. Steve is survived by a brother, Albert Komsa of Boardman; a sister, Pauline Romano of New York and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edward and William Komsa; five sisters, Lottie DeLuga, Wanda Ondor, Helen Komsa, Gertrude Evanoski and Charlotte Dudzik.
Friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church
