Vesna Vukasinovich

Vesna passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024.

Vesna was born on November 24,1949 in Belgrade, Serbia. She came to America as a small child and was the youngest immigrant to have come through Ellis Island at the time. Vesna lived most of her life in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a graduate of Youngstown State University and a lifelong social worker.

She is survived by her long-time companion, Earl Gibbs, her son, Keith Vukasinovich (Niqqi), her brother,  Atty. Tim Tusek (Cathy), her stepchildren (James Jr, Timothy, Cathy & Regina), her grandchildren (Malik, Milan, Nikoli & Anika), and more friends and “adopted” children than one could count.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Sonja Tusek, and her father, Milenko Vukasinovich.

Vesna was a blessing to everyone who knew her and a friend to all. She always gave of herself and put the needs of others before her own.

Arrangements are being handled by Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, 3100 Canfield Road, Youngstown Ohio 44511.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 9am to 10:30 am.  Prayer services will begin at 10:30am.
