Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 20th at 11:30am at Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church for David Muzinich, who passed away on Monday, November 16th after a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.
he was born January 18, 1942 in Youngstown, OH, son of Matthew J. Muzinich and Katherine Stepanovich Muzinich.
he was a 1960 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended YSU. He served in the National Guard and Together with his father he owned and operated the former Balkan Inn in Campbell for many years. He also worked for Greenwood Chevy of Hubbard. David was a life long member of Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church and belonged to the Serbian National Federation Lodge #19 of Campbell. His Joys in life were Tamburitza Music and Nascar.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving sister Darlene Manolukas of Poland, Aunt Edith Muzenic and God daughters Monica and Stephanie Rusnov.
The family wishes to thank his loving Kumovi (Life long friends), Sam and Mary Ann Rusnov and Dear Friends Jerry and Margie Kovach and Boris and Kathy Vuksanovich during his illness.
A special thanks also to Bill and Joni Morell and Jerry and Linda Martin of Las Vegas for their weekly encouraging phone calls that made him feel better.
A special thanks to Dr. John Gianetti, Dr. Chris Knight and Dr. Michael Tempel and Hospice House for the compassion shown to him during his time of need.
Friends may call from 4-7pm on Thursday, November 19th at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., with a prayer service (Pomen) at 6pm, and on Friday from 11:00-11:30am at the Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church
