Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14, at St. Joseph Church in Austintown at 10 a.m. for Felix B. Barwick, 93, who passed away on Jan. 10.
Felix was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Youngstown, son of Felix Barwicki and Johanna Maxim.
He was a graduate of The Rayen School and worked at Truscon Steel, and was a handyman. He was a member of St. Casimir Church. He enjoyed taking his nieces and nephews to Evan’s Field for baseball, was an avid gardener and enjoyed walks in the park.
Surviving are his many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Betty Barwick.
He was preceded in death by brothers Andrew, Alfred, Bill, Joseph, Mark and Peter Barwick; and sisters Stella Shadley, Florence Chalmers, Stephanie Barwick, Pauline Barwick, and Mary Olsafski.
Friends will be received on Friday, Jan. 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. and at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home Inc. in Youngstown.
