I was fortunate enough to care for Helen as a patient on Lakeside 55. She was an amazing woman. She will be missed.
May God wrap his arms around the Mamonis family and hold them in their grief.

My deepest sympathies after the loss of Helen. I met Helen in a professional capacity, as one of her nurses at UH, but over the weeks that I cared for her I came to think of her as a dear friend and an inspiration. I didn't realize at the time that while I enjoyed my job I did not understand its meaning. Helen was the one to teach me that. I can say without hesitation that I will never forget her. Meeting her family was a great joy for me, and I will always remember Helen's beautiful smile and the lessons she taught me both about work and about life and suffering. I love you, Helen- Nicole.
