Friends will be received Thursday, Nov. 17, from  4 to 6 p.m., at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home Inc. in Youngstown, for John M. “Sparkie” Hanson, 54, who passed away on Nov. 7.
He was born Oct. 16, 1962, in Berlin, son of James G. and Ruth A. (Damelio) Hanson.
John was a 1980 graduate of Chaney High School.
Surviving are his mother, Ruth A. Hanson; three sons, Lian Hanson, Peter Hanson and Zach Kollar; two brothers, Ken F. Hanson of San Antonio and James C. Hanson of Ft. Worth, Texas; and a sister, Brenda L. Hanson of Girard. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father, James C. Hanson.
The joy John brought to family and friends will sadly be missed.
