Beverly D. Stash, 80, of Austintown, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly was born on July 3, 1937 in Youngstown, daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (White) Kovacich.
Beverly graduated from Ursuline High School in 1955. She was formerly employed at Strouss Department Store in downtown Youngstown, and in the Accounting Department at Hynes Steel Products Co, where she met the love of her life, her husband Robert (Bob) Stash.
Beverly and Bob were married at the Cathedral of St. Columba in Youngstown on September 27, 1958. They then became active members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown, where Beverly was a member of the church’s Altar & Rosary Society.
Beverly enjoyed cooking, baking, flower gardening, her many pet cats and horse Dixie. Most of all, she enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family and grandchildren.
Beverly leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 59 years, Bob; two daughters, Sherri Gray and Laurie (Brad) Baird, all of Austintown; sister, Linda King of Orchard Park, New York; four grandchildren, Meredith (Justin) Loncar of Boardman, Nikki Baird of Newton Falls, Rob Gray of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Elena Gray of Canfield. She also leaves her former son in law, Dewey Gray of Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Kovacich.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the doctors and medical professionals who took care of Beverly at St. Elizabeth Hospital, especially the staff of the 4th floor ICU, for their compassionate care of our mom.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 10:30 to 11:45AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Norquest Blvd in Austintown. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown.
