Dorothy “Dot” Costantino, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by those she loved at Hospice House in Boardman on Feb. 27, 2015.
Dorothy was born at her home on Steel Street in Youngstown on June 19, 1932, daughter of the late Naum and Helen Dimanoff. She was a lifelong resident of the area.
Dorothy was married in 1958 to Leonard Costantino, who preceded her in death in 1992.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her sister, Atina Ollinger; and brother James Dimanoff.
Dorothy was a secretary for Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Butler-Wick. She had a catering company and retired after 10 years from Red Lobster in Boardman. She finished her career at Infocision.
She will be deeply missed by her four children, Kim (Joe) Kalik of Liberty, Lisa Costantino of Austintown, Shari (Bill) Leonelli of Boardman and Lenny Costantino of New Port Richey, Fla.; her seven grandchildren, Zane and Max Kalik, Katie Leonelli, Jimmy and Joey Yusko, and Nicholas and Elizabeth Costantino; as well as her devoted sister, Marion Kravec of Austintown, with whom she was very close; and many devoted nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was proud of her Macedonian heritage. She loved playing Poker, Bingo and sharing spirited conversation with her friends at the Joseph Knight Towers.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home Inc. in Youngstown.
