Sandra L. Teski, 62, passed away peacefully at Seidman Cancer Center on Friday, Nov. 20, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Sandy was born June 20, 1953, in Youngstown, the daughter of George Reiter and Mildred Krill.
Sandy always reminisced of the old days in Youngstown of spending time with her family at Mckelvys, Strouss,’ Idora Park, and many more.
Sandy met her true love, Edward Teski, early in life. Together they made a life with their children, enduring many ups and downs. They always made the best of what they had and spent the majority of their lives together until Edwards passing in 2005.
Sandy spent over 20 years, working for Belleria Pizza, starting in Struthers, then later in Cornersburg. She loved to work hard and made many friends with coworkers and customers through the years. The friendships made would flourish for years to come. Near the end she would say these were the best years of her life. She spoke fondly of the owners and during her time working there developed a special friendship with David. P.
Sandy cherished spending time with her best friend, Carol Besner. They loved spending time talking, laughing, and going to casinos. Sandy also had a special love for animals and often went beyond her means to care for many throughout the years. Most of all Sandy deeply loved her children. She was very proud of them and cherished the many memories they shared.
Sandy leaves to carry her memory, on her son, Christopher S. Teski, and twin daughters, Tracy and Stacy Teski, all of Youngstown.
Besides her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Reiter and her husband, Edward Teski.
The family wants to extend a special thanks to her team at University Hospitals in Cleveland, particularly her nurse Megan for her exceptional care and friendship throughout Sandy’s cancer journey.
A memorial service will be held at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home in Cornersburg on Tuesday Dec. 1, from 3 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
